The Unexpected Croatia

First thought* Croatia? Are we sure to go there?; Low expectations, not a big hype.

But then...

Since minute 1 I fell in love with this country.

Small islands and small towns, but all had that special touch in each street, in each look, that make you want to get lost around.

I would define it as a country to disconnect.

Primero pensé * Croacia? ¿Estamos seguros de ir allí? Pocas expectativas, no una gran exageración.

Pero entonces...

Desde el minuto 1 me enamoré de este país.

Pequeñas islas y pueblos pequeños, pero todos tenían ese toque especial en cada calle, en cada mirada, que hacen que te quieras perder.

Lo definiría como un país para desconectar.

You just sit there in a rock, looking at the waterfalls, looking at your surroundings, feeling the cold water in all your body, giving you that touch of life. Just there, disconnecting, you realize how beautiful nature is and how it can make you feel so good as in just by a look it leaves you speechless.

Simplemente te sientas allí en una roca, mirando las cascadas, mirando a tu alrededor, sintiendo el agua fría en todo tu cuerpo, dándote ese toque de vida. Justo ahí, desconectándo, te das cuenta de lo hermosa que es la naturaleza y cómo puede hacerte sentir tan bien, que con solo una mirarda, te deja sin palabras.

Exploring this country, has made me keep more attention at everything that surrounds me everyday, because every street we walked through had something special that made me stop and look with attention each of its details. Just by looking carefully you realize there is something uneven that shows you how unique that street is; as in the wheelbarrow in this picture; which makes you wonder what local people use it for every morning.

Every place you are, present these special aspects that we normally do not focus in, just because we are paying more attention to artificial materials like mobile phones. By looking around you may sometimes find answers to questions you had always in mind, because getting another perspective of the environment, you think differently. By thinking in a different way you may achieve to solve that problem you may have been a really long time struggling with. Look at different corners in each street you walk through, maybe they'll show you something you have never seen.

Croatia has been a country that has made me think a lot, because of how it has allowed me to disconnect from everything and everyone in my life. The relaxing vibes people spread around, and the amazing feeling those empty and clean beaches give you are worth more than a sigh.

Explorar este país me ha hecho prestar más atención a todo lo que me rodea cada día, porque cada calle por la que pasamos tenía algo especial que me hacía detenerme y mirar con atención cada uno de sus detalles. Solo con mirar cuidadosamente te das cuenta de que hay algo desigual que te muestra cuán única es esa calle; como la carretilla en esta imagen; lo que te hace preguntarte por qué la usa la gente local cada mañana.

En cada lugar que te encuentre, están presentes estos aspectos especiales en los que normalmente no nos fijamos, simplemente porque prestamos más atención a los materiales artificiales, como los teléfonos móviles. Al mirar a su alrededor, a veces puede encontrar respuestas a preguntas que siempre tuviste en mente, porque al obtener otra perspectiva del entorno, piensas de manera diferente. Al pensar de una manera diferente, puedes lograr resolver ese problema con el que puedes haber estado luchando durante mucho tiempo. Mira diferentes rincones en cada calle por la que caminas, tal vez te muestren algo que nunca has visto.

Croacia ha sido un país que me ha hecho pensar mucho, porque me ha permitido desconectar de todo y de todos en mi vida. Las vibraciones relajantes que se esparcen por la gente, y la increíble sensación que te ofrecen esas playas vacías y limpias, valen más que solo un suspiro.
